It should be noted that based on the instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, H. E. Emomali Rahmon, a number of tasks on simplification of trade procedures were completed.
By the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated 24 December 2016, #529, the Coordination Committee on Facilitation of Trade Procedures was established, the members of which are representatives of ministries, agencies and the private sector.
For the purpose of transparency of the country's trade policy, Tajikistan Trade Portal was created, which provides information on 53 export, import and transit procedures (more than 1500 products) in 3 languages.
During the videoconference, issues related to the activities of the Coordination Committee on Facilitation of Trade Procedures and the implementation process of the Global Textile and Clothing Program (GTEX) were discussed.
Abdurahmonzoda A. S. provided information on mutually beneficial cooperation with the Government of the Swiss Confederation and the International Trade Center in the areas of the activities of the Coordination Committee on Facilitation of Trade Procedures, creation of the Tajikistan Trade Portal, elimination of the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic to trade, strengthening export potential, accelerating the process of diversification of production of export-oriented products and expressed readiness to strengthen cooperation in the above-mentioned sectors.
Representatives of international organizations highly ranked the cooperation with the Republic of Tajikistan and stressed their readiness to increase bilateral relations.
