ANDRITZ HYDRO expected to participate in reconstruction of large HPPs in Tajikistan

Tajik Minister of Energy and Industry Gul Sherali last week met in Berlin with senior representatives of ANDRITZ HYDRO, according to the Tajik Embassy in Berlin.

The sides reportedly discussed issues related to cooperation between Tajikistan and ANDRITZ HYDRO within the framework of a memorandum of cooperation that was signed in Dushanbe in March this year.

Projects for reconstruction and modernization of the Norak and Varzob-2 hydroelectric power plants were also among major topics of the meeting.

While in Berlin, Tajik minister reportedly also held talks with top managers of a number of large energy companies of Germany and other European countries that are interested in participation in implementation of investment projects in the energy and mining sectors of Tajikistan.
